The NI Music Prize event is produced by the Oh Yeah music centre and supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.


The NI Music Prize ended with a special presentation to the band Therapy?, who formed in 1989, this marks their 25 year anniversary. They were presented with an Oh Yeah Legend Award for their achievements.

The band performed their 1994 ‘Troublegum’ album with a few encores, ending with the classic 'Potato Junkie'

"A few months ago we put out an open call to bands from all over the world to submit music for our subscription series.  We hand picked them all and I hope you guys enjoy them as much as we do!

Today we have some sweet ass stoner/alternative or whatever you wanna call it all the way from Larne, UK.  Denzil A.K.A. is apparently one dude that goes by Smout.  He writes and performs everything minus the drums.  This stuff is really spacey and has one of the best bass tones.  Also, Smout’s vocals are haunting to say the least.  He apparently played in the band K.C. and the Moonshine band as well?  This guy seems awesome.

Denzil A.K.A. released their first EP late last year and hopefully will be hitting the road soon?
